Day 95

Strange phenomenon today, we had a very high tide – 1.63 metres – and the tide flowed into the camp area two thirds of the way up but it did not come near the caravans.  It was certainly a site to be seen.

After lunch we went for a long walk down to the point looking for turtles but we still have not seen any.  We felt we were on a desert island, there was nobody else about and all we could see was white sand and turquoise water.  This is really a lovely spot and I am sure in years to come we will come back.

Tonight we have a new camp host, so we had drinks with them at sundown.  The old camp host is leaving tomorrow.
