We drove through to Port Fairy yesterday, deciding not to stop overnight in Warnambool. It was a long drive and we were both rather tired when we got here. Today we have had a great day. This morning we went for a one hour bike ride around the wharf and this afternoon we did a walk around Griffiths Island which was very interesting. The weather has been beautiful. We have been to Port Fairy a couple of times before but have never seen around the wharf area. The scenery was really good. We visited a place where we stayed with Catherine, Sharon, Beryl and Ted about thirty years ago. I wonder if the girls can remember it. It was the old ANZ bank and we stayed there for a weekend when my nephew was getting married. The photograph of the boat is a recreated Portuguese or Spanish caravel named the Notorious. It has been constructed from all reclaimed timber and has been created single handedly by Graeme Wylie.
